Built on the ethos of slow living, BU.MI is an invitation to pause, connect, and immerse
in a multisensory dining experience.
Shaped by the spirit of Thiruvananthapuram, the space draws from Kerala’s layered architectural heritage, regional materiality, and the native plants and flowers that characterise its landscape. Every element has been thoughtfully chosen to create a sense of place, one that feels organic, familiar, and quietly immersive. Designed to belong to its surroundings, BU.MI offers an experience that feels both rooted and restorative.
We are a team of people who care deeply about the details that most guests will never consciously notice, the quality of light at 7pm, the way a cocktail is built, the moment a dish arrives and the table goes quiet. We obsess over these things because we believe they are the difference between a place you visit and a place you return to.
Since we opened in October 2025, we have been driven by curiosity, about food, about craft, about what it means to host someone well. Our menu draws from kitchens across the world and comes home to Kerala every time. Our bar is held to the same standard as our kitchen. And our space was designed to hold every kind of mood, every kind of gathering, without ever feeling like it is trying too hard.

Our Mission
Trivandrum has always had places to eat. What it didn't have was a place designed around the full arc of an evening, where the space itself is as considered as the food, the bar is as serious as the kitchen, and the experience doesn't end when the plates are cleared.
BU.MI was built to change that. Not as a trend or a concept, but as a long-term commitment to what dining out in this city could actually feel like, unhurried, multi-sensory, and genuinely worth dressing for.
